HISTORY
On April 18, 1833, with Dr. Valentín Gómez Farías being President of the Republic, he agreed to create the Mexican Society of Geography and Statistics. First geographical and scientific society in America and Fourth in the World, in order to promote science and culture through scientific research, cultural activities with a humanistic sense, thus contributing to the social, economic, political and cultural development of the country.

Promote and carry out studies, events, scientific and cultural research, especially those related to the values and wishes of the People of the State of Mexico.
